Amos 7 + 8

I preached my first sermon at my new church, Woody Road, yesterday. An easy one to start with (ha!), on Amos chapters 7 + 8.

As always, I found that in preparing I learnt a huge amount - far more than anyone who listened to the sermon would have. These chapters, on first reading, appeared so bleak and hopeless. But it was exciting to see as I studied them how, in the midst of the hard things, there is great hope and comfort.
